Welcome to my classroom!
My name is Kathleen Jones. I have been a teacher for 19 years starting my career in Tracy. I came to Jackson Avenue School 14 years ago.
I live in Livermore with my husband and two daughters. I love to go camping with my family every chance I get. When we are not camping I like spending time at the Happiest Place on Earth – Disneyland! I am a huge San Francisco Giants fan. During football season you’ll either find me in my 49er or Bronco colors.
I love teaching third grade with all of the challenges it offers. I look forward to watching my students grow into independent thinkers and learners.
Classroom Rules
The classroom rules are a collaborative effort between the students and myself. A clip chart is used to monitor the rules. The students can move up or down the chart during the day. At the end of the day the color they are on is how the day as a whole went. Individual behavior plans can be discussed and agreen upon by the parent and teacher.
Attendance
Regular attendance is important, as academic skills are presented in sequence. Please call the school office to report your child’s absence and send a note on the day that your child returns to school. The note needs to include the child’s first and last name, the date(s) of the absence, the reason for the absence, and your signature.
